Early brain development plays a vital role in a child’s ability to learn and succeed. At Little Sunshine Academy, we focus on nurturing a love of learning from the very beginning.
Our unique curriculum emphasizes independence, exploration, and hands-on learning. We also prioritize strong connections between home, school, and the world around us—creating a well-rounded foundation for each child’s growth and development.
Infant/ Toddler
For our toddlers and infants we offer intentional opportunities to enhance vocabulary, strengthen fine and gross motor skills, and daily activities centered around learning ABCs, 123s, along with shapes and colors.
We firmly believe that children can learn through modeling and exploration. With this, we provide our infants and toddlers with daily opportunities to be as independent as possible.
Pre School
Our preschool curriculum focuses on themes for the month. Each week is devoted to a subtopic that is related to the large topic. Each month’s theme has activities that are centered around all core subjects, including reading, math and science.
We observe the large topic for the month by talking about them during circle time, and working on projects and small group activities that are related to them. All small group activities are developmentally appropriate for each age level, our activities are differentiated.
